Kicker Motor Trailering

For those of you with a kicker on your boat, when you trailer it, do you have the kicker in the down position or do you tilt it up similar to the big motor on your boat?

I dont have a boat big enough for a kicker, but when I trailer my little 14ft alum with a 15hp, I trailer it with the motor in the "down" position. But then I lift it up to launch it. I figure the least amount of torque is best.

Kicker is stored and trailered down. It is a 25in xl kicker motor and I have had no issues.

Yep, trailer with it all the way down. If it has hydraulics that hold it in place you should be good ---- if no hydraulics then you should strap the lower unit to the trailer to stop it from bouncing and wearing on the tilt mechanism.

With my old boat, my kicker was a long shaft on a short transom... I trailered this set up in the raised position. My new rig will have T-N-T on the kicker and be better matched for the transom. This will trailer in the down position.
