MH XF

Been looking at specs from rod manufacturers lately and seeing more and more Medium Heavy/Extra Fast rods. What do you guys use these for? I personally like a Fast action, it has a little more give when playing a fish back to the boat. But the XF might work well in slop (guess it would take a little experimenting to find out though)

I have been using MHXF as my main worm rod for several years. I fish only 10" worms or simalar weight soft plastics on this and use it in pencil reeds/rice or strictly wild rice situations. My goal is to not only set the hook but also to turn the fish so he is heading back my direction as I am cranking the reel to get him out of the vegetation. The stiffness of the tip can make a difference in these situations.
