Anyone ever use Wes Lodes at Hillfire Kennel for pointer training? Had a good discussion with him the other day and thinking of sending my pup off for 6 weeks. I have talked to several trainers and I am trying to choose a good one. Let me know your thoughts! thanks

He trained my female GSP. My first experience with the breed or using a trainer. I'm very satisfied with what he did with my dog.

thanks for the info, she is going out there the week of August 8th. which program did you do?

Not sure which program. Wes taught basic obedience; heel, (come) here, (turn when quartering) yoh, (steady on point) whoa. Also introduced to birds; hold point, starter pistol gun fire when bird flushed, hold on flushed bird.

Very satisfied, I could use more training on how to handle my dog. Before training the dog wouldn't come when called so Wes started with pretty rough dog obedience wise. He really loves training pointing dogs. Good Luck!!

Around two months. I did visit a few times.
