This fall is going to be interesting. In talking to some state guys that are in the field doing pond, nesting, and bird counts, they say the amount of water on the landscape has really changed the duck and goose densities. The birds are really spread out, and it seems that the geese had better nesting success in SE SD vs NE SD.
