Avid Angler
How successful are the guys that go out at night bowfishing carp? Is it 20, 30, 40 fish a night?Avid
carpshooterdeluxe
the 5 or 6 nights I got out on a well rigged boat last summer we averaged 100 fish a night. For some guys or certain lakes that can be the norm, but guys just getting into night shooting or guys shooting lakes with less than quality fish/clarity/legal night shooting areas, 20 should be considered good. Avid Angler
Thanks for information.I think it is a great thing and is another tool to keep populations in check.I have also heard that good panfish populations (perch especially) will really eat a lot of carp eggs.I think that is why you see carp populations explode when the panfish numbers get really low.I think the DNR should stock perch in the lakes they think are overrun with carp. Probaly not a solve all, but a thought.Avid
