Humminbird 788ci HD and HB Matrix 25 questions

Hey everyone!

I was wondering if I can network these units together? I have the new 788 on the dash and want to put the Matrix 25 on the front. The Matrix says it is GPS ready and has a network cable on it. My question is can i use the GPS on the front from the chip on the dash? What would I need to do to do this?

Any help would be greatly apprecitated!!

Or even if anyone could point me in the right direction of who to talk with.

You can not share a map card over a network, the map data will only be displayed in whatever unit holds the card. Over the network you can share things like GPS position and waypoints.

With the Matrix series, you can ( with the right cable ) hookup just about any GPS device that puts out the NMEA 0183 data ( most GPS device do this these days, Humminbird, Lowrance, Garmin and others ). So if you have a handheld GPS device, that can ' drive ' the GPS on your Matrix 25 and most certainly your 788 has this output too.
