Flood&Road conditions Devils Lake, ND

Recommended Posts

Road construction is terrible in Devils lake. Been working there the last couple of weeks. Your still able to get around if thats what your worried about. I heard the road to Grams island is closed if there's a big wind. I notice the road heading to Woodlands resort was started to flood over. Not by much though.

I heard compliants about boat lauches are tough to come by. If your going out of the east end I would try East Devils lake resort. I haven't been there this year. I talk to some guys who were lauching out of Grams Island and traveling all the way to Pelican lake. Thats a far drive in a boat.

As far as Highway 2 I drove on it all the way to Leeds(33 miles west of Devils lake). There's one rough patch by Churches Ferry about where you need to slow down(30 miles hour) or your you will be doing the dukes of harzard with your car. Its well mark just be sure not too ignore the harzard signs. As for highway 19 I went as far as the turn for Woodlands resort. They just rise up the part where creel bay is butting into the road with gravel. I imagine futher down that stretch there's more of that. Its amazing how much water is there from last year.

Sorry I couldn't be more help with the boat lauches. I'll ask around next week when I'm there.
