oddy19
Hello all, I am looking for some help with an older boat I have. I would like to get my 1984 Rinker back up and running. It was not winterized last year, and it unfortunately felt the full affects. It basically needs a new (used) motor or at least a few new parts. It currently has a 140 hp Mercruiser inboard in it. I would also like to have a new floor and carpet put in. I am looking for suggestions on where I could take it for each of these projects. I would prefer a place as close to Mankato as possible, but understand I will probably need to travel a bit. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks guys! marine_man
I'd check with Bakken's Boat Shop in New Richland on the carpet / floor work.. be sure to coordinate your engine replacement (no advice there, sorry) with the floor / carpet replacement since they'll go hand in hand.marine_man

LightningBG
Unfortunately, for the price of a new floor and motor, you might be better off looking for a different boat.
Valv
Unfortunately, for the price of a new floor and motor, you might be better off looking for a different boat. x2 what he said. The cost of a good used motor and the replacement of the floor (fiberglass) would surpass the value of the boat, IMO.There are many places where you can find great deals on a used one.
