Ridgerunnr
Fished WI opener..price and ashland counties. Water temps 57 to 63, Fri night we fished walleye and did very well. Sat AM the big rods came out and we boated 4 fish from 6 am to 9pm. Sunday was awful slow in the AM but afternoon picked up with 3 fish..None were large but 35 to 41 were the normal. Bucktails were the ticket either silver blades or white ones in the dark water. A lot of guys were out and most were boating fish. On a side note..wish the DNR would enforce the no wake zones in a few channels the go between some of the lakes. no wake means NO wake not 20 mph cruise thru...a lot of people passing on wrong sides, no courtesy slow downs on close passes when anchored etc..pretty rude.. Nick Kuhn
Opposite of what I saw further south. Didn't get out until Sunday afternoon and Monday afternoon (needed to do some cabin maintenance) and we didn't move a single fish. From the sounds of it guys out in the morning saw a few but only heard of one small fish boated. The pike action was sluggish at best too, as we normally catch quite a few on the big baits.
