3pronghook Posted May 18, 2011 Share Posted May 18, 2011 I have a homelite trimmer that is gummed up. starts and idles but as soon as throttle is touched it kills. it doesnt look so simple tearing into the carb. any suggestions. its probably 4 years old? 3pronghook Posted May 21, 2011 Author Share Posted May 21, 2011 no real easy access to carb. shot it full of cleaner. new gas, clean plug. started cranking it and locked up. small screw in carb let loose and locked up. short story shorter, kinked it in half over my knee and threw it away. gonna buy a goat.
