Wolf Article

True I just found it shocking that they nearly wiped out the study group. Considering that not all of the collared deer migrated to the wintering site. And of that site what percentage of the deer were collared, I am just wondering how many deer they actually killed. I realize it is a small area, but I think it shows that they can really do some damage in the right conditions. As far as deep snow, we really didn't have anything more severe than an average winter here. I don't think that we should go on wolf killing spree but I do think they should be reduced and managed.

I'm normally on the side of the fence that says, "Let nature run its course." That being said, from what I've been hearing it does sound as though some areas of our state are prime for some regulation and control. Not because of a threat to the deer population but more because of the potential threat to human population. I would hope there is an eye being kept on this potential.
