Well I have a week with my new Minnkota Talon Wow!! I have found a lot of uses I hadnt planned on! It deploys and retracts in a few seconds and I can not move the boat with my 101 Fortrex on 100%! Ihave used it several times launchingand loading in he wind to hold th boat from washing up sideways while parking the truck.

for Crappie fishing in shallow water it is tough to beat when you find aspot hit the remote and you stopped! I used it tonight on a shallow flat fishing eyes When i got bit I deployed while fighting fish getting a minnow and retying! I was able to stop on a spot I got bit and work the areaover for several nice fish! full-2263-8775-010(2).jpg

I have a question. I have a relatively much older boat. A late 80's Ozark fiberglass bass boat 16ft. I would like to purchase a shallow water anchor because I prefer to bass fish and like the stealth approach that this will give me. I've notice the Powerpole brand the base folds down and goes into the water while the Minnkota's base unit remains above water with the pole itself going into the water.

Would this be a great investment to go cheaper and limit the co-angler's casting window or should I just invest in the extra few hundred dollars and get the powerpole?

Any thoughts on this?
