storage convert to cooler?

03lund pro sport..has a live well in back on one side. I want to convert the one on the other side to a cooler/bait box.anyone have any tips?

I started a thread on this very topic last year. Search the forums for it. If I remember, the popular suggestion was to insert styrofoam and then caulk the seams. You'll want to have a way to drain the storage if you put ice in there. However, ice packs work almost as well and are much easier to deal with.

good question ! i have a 05 pro sport and always wondered what that box was suppose to be for ,i use it for storage. its metal lined but no drain for bait, livewell, or cooler

it has a punch out area for a drain plug and would be easy to add a aerator if i chose. But I'd like to use it for a cooler and a cold place to keep minnows etc in the summer. I use a cooler now with an aerator and bags of ice. But i need the space and would like to eliminate the cooler

We use spare baitewells ect for coolers, just dump a bag of ice in it and go.
