Lowrance HDS-8 and LSS-1 Settings

Wondering if anyone has some advice as to what settings have worked best for their HDS-8 and LSS-1? Thanks.

I tweak my settings all the time, but for StructureScan I usually run 800 khz and about 70-75 for contrast. If the water is deeper I'll switch over to 455 khz.

For the HDS 8, make sure you select the proper transducer in the installation menu (it's probably hst-wsbl). Set the unit to shallow water and go from there. I usually bump my sensitivity up a bit, and run with the colorline around 80 I think.

Like I said, I tweak and adjust it all the time - when I change color pallettes, sometimes when I change lakes, as the year goes on, etc.
