Just wondering how the bite is going for everyone doing walleye weekend. Might swing up there sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Just got done cleaning a three man limit 15-17" had a several pushing the upper end of the slot which is always nice to see. Got most of them on bobbers and leeches right at dark in 10-15 fow. The key seemed to be getting your bait up in the rocks. Also got a couple pulling leadcore but as soon as your bait touched bottom it was full of junk so it was a little more difficult. Alot of traffic out there as usual and the usual people who only bring their boats out on opener and forget how everything works.

It was a lot of fun if it wasn't so windy we would probably be going back again tonight.

Not sure if anyone is wondering but the water temp is in the low to mid 50's. and jigging was made difficult by all the perch stealing leeches.

It wasn't like a musky bite, but it was fun catching doubles and triples in the dark trying to keep everything from getting tangled up.

A young guy caught a tagged walleye and would've got $10k....had he registered for the event. Biggest 'eye I heard of was a pinch over 10lb out of west.

I know, kinda miss it in a way but getting the boat slimed was way more fun even if it wan't my fish...

We actually had a pretty good weekend. Caught a few keeper walleye on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Pushing close to that slot was good to see as well. Nice fish.

Getting out with our new to us boat and having my son back home from the Marines gives me a new out look with fishing again.

I was down there since opener, just got home today. I had pretty good fishing all week. Also got some bonus smallmouths and some northerns (all released). I think I also caught a hybrid musky, it was lighter color than the northerns but didnt have the stripes. I should have taken a picture before I let it go. Good luck!

Guessing what you got was a silver pike if it had no spots or bars on it.
