Okay Leech, I'll play along. First, "Obama" probably had little to do with delisting the wolves in SELECTED and SPECIFIC zones. There is no "new" information here but the plan of a state cannot got into force and effect until formal okay from the Feds.

The 4000 figure you toss out is NOT a harvest limit.

Unless I'm mistaken, there is a requirement in the ESA that restricts a hunting season until 5yrs after they are removed and put in control of the state...

Bruledrifter thats correct on the 5 year wait. So the last wolf management plan I saw from the MNDNR was 2001 I think? Do they need to update that plan? or have they already and I just havent looked?

Pretty sure the state had updated it prior to the last attempt at delisting.

Why don't you guys go out and do some useful volunteer work on local roads and contribute something to society instead.
