Trout: The REAL opener...

See you all on the streams this weekend for the real opener.

I'll be back home in SE MN. Getting some pancakes in Chatfield, and then off to Stream X for some fishing.

Hopefully the weather cooperates a bit, and the water isn't too high.

i have yet to decide if im going to do opener.. more often than not its a headache trying to find water no one else is fishing... and recent car problems are making it tricky as well

I'm going to wait for a few stream reports from people that make it out on Saturday. I have a feeling that with all this rain, that there will be quite a few blown out streams. I do hope I'm wrong though.

this rain should make the normally difficult tiny streams much easier to fish... i know thats how it was a couple weeks back during the thaw and rain we were getting.. tiny creeks were perfect.. time to hit those streams that normally look like trickles

looking forward to the streams! if you see a guy catching a whole bunch of trouts, (hopefully) that'll be me, so say hi... lol. good luck to those who are giving it a try. i'll try to give a report also.

it was cold last year.... got below freezing every night and was barely above freezing during the days... but then again.. what is trout opener without sub par weather..
