joe_stack20
He have an electric Kenmoore dryer...nothing fancy...but last night we would crank it to 60min...and it would run for about 5-10 min....then shut off...but you can still here the "Timer acting like it wants to go"...i am assuming that the timer is shot.....just thought if anyone else has any other ideas of what it could be before i spend the money on a timer. BobT
What about the door switch? Did it come loose or is it losing contact from vibration and/or heat? Is it heating up?
joe_stack20
Went to an aplliance repair guy and he told me hands down that the dryer vent was plugged...I told him ithat i clean the vent about 2-3 times a month....he said...its not the vent its the dryer vent pipe...told me to run the dryer with out the vent pipe attached...so i did and low and behold it ran like a champ...so i took the vent pipe shook the heck out of it and a TON on lint came out...reattched fired it up...and presto easy cheap fix.
