Floating Rapala Fat Rap

Mr. Pike1

Recommended Posts

I lost my favorite Fat Rap to a nice smallie on the Mississippi a few weeks back. I tried Gander and Fleet and could find the medium-floating fat raps...Anyone know who might have them. I see the fat rap deep divers but I want the floater...Fire tiger and the natural minnow look.

You may be right. I found the smaller size at bait shop in St. Cloud I was looking for the mid-size. I will keep my eye all I can find at local shops is the DT 10 etc. I guess I could see what storm lures or other makers have in the fat rap sytle.

I have seen them at Gander Mt. They have ayellow box and are often times hidden in with skitter pops and the other top water. You can also order them from bassproshops or cabelas. Some small tackle stores have them too, ie the one off of 169 just north of hwy 81.

I have one left, Mr. Pike1. You're welcome to it, a trade for a refreshment. Next time you're on the Big V, wave me down and remind me. I believe it is the brownish coloring. I like the shadraps and stickbaots more.

MT, Thank you for the offer. I am planning on being on the big V 8/20-8/22. The beverage offer sound good or I have a very large assorment of lures I could have you paruse and perhaps we can make a trade. This time up on the big V I really going to target the small mouths hard and also look to chase the mighty musky for a bit.

Mr. Pike, we're planning on heading up Friday morning. I'll probably be mowing the lawn around noon or so, weather permitting. Heading back Sunday. Everyone else is staying for the week. I'll be around. I'm getting hungry for a walleye shorelunch.

See you then.
