Minn Kota Foot Pedal

Need a new pedal for my Minn Kota power drive...Was wondering if the pedal of a PowerDriveV2 would also work with it? or do i have to get the replacement pedal for the PowerDrive?

I think they have different connectors, ie. flat plug vs. round plug.

No sir they are not interchangeable, however Minn Kota makes a wireless foot pedal that works with a co-pilot system that is like the style of the V2 model pedal.

Before you get a new pedal, make sure that you've cleaned the old one. Mine was having issues years ago so I thought about replacing it. Then I pulled it apart and cleaned it all real good. I also learned that dunking the foot pedal in the lake every once in a while (it's waterproof) will do wonders for keeping dirt and grit off the contact points.

Then again, I don't know what's specifically wrong with your pedal so those suggestions may not work at all.

Thanks for the help guys... I took it apart to try and fix it and still its didn't work. I've had it for a good 6-7 years now and pretty much beat the [PoorWordUsage] put of it so I just went ahead and replaced it. Works like a champ now, and thanks for the tip about dipping it in the water I didn't know they were completley water proof!

I have a powerdrive that would start and stop. I had to take it apart and put a few pieces of electrical tape underneath the circuit board where the speed slider and on/off switch were. The little plastic tip on the slider was wearing down and not actually making enough contact with the circuit board. I figured this out because I was able to control it with my finger or the slider in my hand with it apart. After doing this it worked like a charm again.
