A friend of mine is in the process of buying a resort on Mille Lacs, there's currently a court battle going on, but that should be settled within the next month. It's not too fancy right now but it's functional and he has plans on making some improvements. If you can wait for a month or so, he will have possession and I know the prices aren't too bad for the location. I think a lot of people would like to help you out but more info would be needed. I fish lake of the woods a lot and I love kabetogama. what part of the state are you looking at. Also you should post this question on the camping forum.

I am thinking within around a 3 hour drive of the metro and it would be nice to have some other attractions around for the wife to do when my sons and I are fishing ( panfish or eyes )

I am looking for a nice family type seasonal spot with full hookups for an R.V Dont want anything real fancy(or real expensive)just something quiet and clean with good fishing and good people. I hate when you see the brochure, go to the place and cant even recognize it. Or its a zoo with 10,000 people. I thought I could cut down on some search time by asking here. I usually put more stock into peoples experience, ie: word of mouth than anything else. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Pete

try up around lake Itasca..real nice state campground called Bear Paw. and the fishing there is unreal.
