muchowja
I have a 2009 550 Grizz with fuel injection. It has to crank over 20-30 seconds before it starts and I don't think it should take that long. Any suggestions??
snowfighter
When you turn the key on do you heard fuel relay come on to pump fuel kind of a low hmmm for a couple seconds. I had the same Grizzly 550 and when cold I would turn on the key let it prim and try to start if it would'nt I would turn the key off and back on which would kick in the relay again then try starting again it would go then. Your not suppose to run the starter more then 5 to 10 seconds at a time.
HooknHorns
Check your sparkplug to see if its fouled. Ive got a 09 550 griz and Ive been told its not good for them to start it, let it run for a little bit and then shut it off. Its hard on the plug if you start it up just to move it aways without riding it for a duration. Once started, let it warm up a bit. The plug should be a chocolate color, if not change it. See if that helps out. Fresh gas could help also.
muchowja
Yes. I hear the injection running whenever I turn the key on. It doesn't seem to help if I turn it off and on repeatedly. I will look at the spark plug and if that isn't the cause I'll give the dealer a call. Thanks
tonkapat
A new plug will probably do it even if the old one looks good just replace it. The valves should be readjusted after a couple hundred miles. Pretty common for the valves to be out of adjustment after some use. Running it more often helps also. And never run ethanol anything through it especially if your going to let it sit for months with using it. About $9 a plug at the yami dealer (only place that has them)
