journey into the forbidden - DSLR video

Recommended Posts

I got my feet wet in the dslr world with a 30d that treated me well, I think it might have been a bit much for a beginner to start with but I definitely got spoiled with it!

One of my buddies turned me on to dslr video shooting, after seeing numerous 60fps recordings in hi def post processed with twixtor, I was determined that this is something that I needed to be a part of. Just picked up a rebel t2i (couldn't afford the 7d, probably should have thought a little bit more on the 60d but newegg had a killer deal running). From my limited use, I can tell this is something I'm going to have fun with.

Trying to stick with a prime lens as it's proving difficult to rack focus & zoom simultaneously (AF during video is a big no-no I guess). It's astonishing at what these cameras are becoming capable of, that's for sure.

Anyone else jump into this realm yet? I'm already missing the feel of a larger/heavier camera body, but if I can really put this plastic rebel to use I might be due for an upgrade.
