Amason's Obabikon Resort ??

Anybody stay here before.

I may be planing a 4 day trip here this summer. I guess I have a few questions.

What time of year is best for eyes ?

How are the accomadations?

How is the over all fishing.

June is best for walleyes. All around fishing should be good.... lots of muskies in Sabaskong.. lots of walleyes in Miles Bay.

All the reports I have seen are very good. The resort is in a good location and looks clean and well kept from what I can see from the water. I say book it and don't forget to post a report after your trip.

Thanks for the help. They may be booked for June so maybe July or next year. Can't wait to try out the new boat and do my best to drink all the Labatt in the providence.

sorry that i showed up late i have stayed there, great place food and cabins. i go in the fall and chase crappies in obabikon bay, terrific fishing. a huge plus is if you go in the summer you can fish crappies from the "crappie dock" before or after a long day on the water. You should enjoy it.

I was there in June 2010. We limited out all three days I was there on walleyes by early afternoon. After a shore lunch we would then fish for muskies and pike - big pike and muskie in Miles Bay. Not a fancy resort, actually pretty basic) but good food and fellowship.

I think you need a guide for the first day so because Lake of the Woods is a big body of water and it is not easy to navigate to and from good fishing spots. Also, the resort is on an island and it takes about 30 minutes by boat to reach it. Keep this in mind when packing your fishing gear and suitcases.
