Fish Head
I have a 2005 Alumacraft Navigator 185 and I want to upgrade to air ride seats. I know I can get them at the Alumacraft dealer, but I'm sure there are places to find quality seats less expensive. Where is a good place to pick up some new seats and pedestals? JohnMickish
Any place that sells boating supplies will have what you need. Fleet Farm, Bass Pro Shops, Cabelas, Gander and others all have then in stock. Just match up the attachment style to what you have and your set. Jim Almquist
If you do a search for boatseats you will see a company by that name. A good seat to look at is the Attwood Centric line. I only wished that I would have replaced them sooner. I have always had the air rides pedestal but match that with a cush seat and, is what your behind feels like at the end of the day. Fish Head
Thanks. I'll look at the Attwood Centric line at boatseats.com. I was lookin for a place that had the best prices. I'll look around.
Jim Almquist
Thanks. I'll look at the Attwood Centric line at boatseats.com. I was lookin for a place that had the best prices. I'll look around. I put in the Attwood Centric SAS and just love the fact that my seat has springs to go along with the air ride. when i an on Lake superior or Winne when it gets rough it is when they pay for themselves. No more crushed spine causing me to get shorter

amateurfishing
so if i was to upgrade my boat with suspension seats (or other new boat seats), is there any way to "test" a seat for comfortablility? does any store out there have them on display to actually sit on? and if i was to try the suspension method, should i just get the pole to start and add $200 seat later, i noticed it will get pricey fast. Jim Almquist
Not sure if there would be a place that would have the Centrics on display but you might get a good feel by sitting in a new boat with upgraded seats, I am not sure if any boat manufacture has the SAS style in their boat but it would at least give you a idea of just how much better they are. My old Pro-V seat would feel like you were sitting on plywood in about 3 hours and now I never get a sore bottom. Well worth the money if you spend a day in the boat.
