garbage can smoker

Anyone ever make a smoker from a metal garbage can? If so, is there a process for "curing" the can before using it as a smoker?

There is a lot of talk of staying away from galvanized metal for smoking, and that includes many garbage cans. I think the temps are too low to allow any outgassing, but you should be aware.

Ihave one sitting down here at work for this time of year when its slow, men and a couple guys bring in some tullibees and smoke 2-4 a day. Good times, Good eats.
