Frabill Stormsuit - Any news / updates??

Question

Anyone here have a pulse on the new Frabill Stormsuit Raingear??

Rumors were it would be available last Nov or Dec. I figured that meant stores. I see you can order it from their site, but I'd like to see / put it on before I drop the $$ for it. Thanks in advance.

I got some time in using the new Frabill Storm Suit for snow blowing. More snow than rain right now, so that will have to do.

Blowing snow tends to get you plenty wet with any gear so it was a trial run test with a purpose in mind. Would it take cold, and would it do wet sifting fine snow and cold and stay warm and dry, and pliable?

As a Cold Weather wet test, I spent 6 hours in the Frabill Storm Suit on one day, 9 the next day, 7 more hours on the third day behind a snow blower. I remained bone dry.

I layered with a Gander Mountain GSX base layer, a GSX 200 weight fleece wader bottom with a Frabill performance Hoodie over the base layer and under the Storm Suit.

Gloves worn was the Frabill Snow Suit Gauntlet fingered gloves.

Footwear worn was Trans Alaskan III boots, mid weight Smart Wool socks.

Result...I remained warm and dry, very comfortable and easy to work and move in.

My conclusion: This is a very nice high performance wet weather suit. Best I have ever worn, exceptional at every point. The cuffs, the bibs are amazing and comfortable, the new hood design is smart and performed well, the cut of the suit feels tailored, all preformed as advertised and honestly far exceeded my expectations.

In this test run in cold very wet conditions a bit out of it's design parameters, it sold itself to me.

When spring nears, my new Frabill Storm Suit will stay close at hand. The new Frabill Storm Suit is most certainly the suit that just replaced all others I own for wet weather use.

I bought the Frabill Storm Suit XL in the Tera color pattern.

I run a 36" - 38" waist, and I am 6' 2". The fit was very good for me. I have long arms, they worked well there too.

I was also able to layer under it lightly without feeling like a stuffed sausage, room to move is very good.

Lots of adjustment in the bibs and in the parka to get your fit right.

If your chubby or have a lot of height...lets say 6' 4", then you would wish to go up to 2 XL.
