Lakemaster chip version 2 - humminbird

I see that Lakemaster has released version 2 of the lakemaster chip for Humminbird. Does anyone know what advantages this chip has over last years version 1? I am thinking that the new chip might have more high def. lakes.

I talked to Cabelas in Rogers and they said the Lakemaster Humminbird Minnesota v.2 chip wouldn't be available until mid March. Anyone know if it's available elsewhere earlier?

Speaking of versions, I'm still using a Lakemaster chip from about three years ago in my H20c. Is there a lot to gain by sinking some money into a newer one, or not so much?

I would not sink any money into uprgrading a chip for a H2O unit.
