A Little Guidance

Ok guys and gals.

I am going to hit the hard water on this upcoming Saturday. Want to take the kids with and looking for a lake in the South Metro area where we can drive on and catch some fish (any fish)

Also, I am without a power auger at this time and wondering how rude it would be to ask someone to cut a few holes, maybe tipping a ten spot or something. I have a hand auger but it is way too dull to cut through a foot or more of ice without having a heart attack. Any info???

Thanks all...

For the South Metro I guess Crystal, Cedar, Spring would be good choices.

You may have to do a bit of a work if using a hand auger. If you get on a busy lake you may not even have to drill at all. Im pretty sure there are alot of guys that like to hole hope and may turn certain areas of the lake into swiss cheese and may be willing to share. Im pretty sure if you ask nicely one would help out.

If your looking for a budget or beginners power gas auger I got one for sale in the ice classifieds for a good price.

I would hand you my hand auger and say go to town eek

I wouldnt take a cent! Ha

Most fishermen know that little kids are the most important. They need to have a good time and to me I would rather see kids having fun than me catching fish

I'll be on Cedar by New Prague. I'd gladly cut some holes and I would insist you not pay anything. I can't seem to stop playing with my new Ice Hogger. If you headed that way, look for a blue F-150 with a green Quick fish 3. I'll be on the lake by sunup!
