I [PoorWordUsage] away lot money on fishing lures, maps, gear, etc. These is not one of them. I belive you will truly like them.

It is so valuable for finding structure and "understanding" what you are seeing on your graph and GPS. I have the Mille Lacs 1 ft set and just bought the Winnibigosh 3 footer. I felt I was holding better to structure and breaks, hence catching more fish.

I have the Mille acs 1 foot contour chip.

Saturday night I was going into Barnacle Bills. It was very windy, straight out of the south. They had one light flashing on the left side of thier rock reef, but the right one was out and becuase it was so dark, I couldn't see if I was centered or not.

I watched my graph and followed the arrow righ down the center of the channel. I couldn't do that without the chip. Well worth the money. It may someday save you a prop or a lower unit.

I have both of the Navionics chips that are compatable with the Lowrance GPS units and they work ok. I just bought the chip that came out for the Garmin unit and a new Garmin Hand held GPS and it is far superior to the Lowrance chip/GPS. Garmin zooms down to 20' increments where the Lowrance is only 1/17 of a mile. This makes a big difference on big drop offs and I am looking forward to using the Garmin version ice fishing. Please don't tell my wife I bought both of these units!!

Vickie,

For $99.00 you get just Winnie. For $209.00 you get MilleLacs in 1 foot, Leech in 1 foot, Gull in 3 foot, and White Bear in 3 foot.

How accurate is the data fromm the CD rom version of lakemaster that can be loaded onto handheld garmin gps units. Is it as good as the Promap MMC chip. I have a garmin gps but also a lowrance gps/graph that can take an MMC card. Just wondering which way to go?

Ther data is the same on both. The MMC chip is located in your GPS unit and the ProMap Series CD-ROM is loaded on your PC allowing your to upload/downlaod waypoints and routes from PC to GPS and GPS to PC.

We do have the Garmin ProMap Series CD-ROM and Data Card which also will leave all the data in your GPS.

Go to:
http://Minnesota-Lake-Maps.com

Purchase info is there.
