Gas on the taconite

Hey guys, taking a shot in the dark here that someone from here has done this ride. My GF and I are planning a trip from her cabin by scenic pines (about 30 miles north of rapids by the Taconite) up to Fortune bay. Nearest I can tell, it will be about about 100 miles. Seeing as how I get a whopping 7-9 MPG with my 03 600HO, I am cutting it too close for comfort IMO, even with my Jerry can. Does anyone know of any gas close to the tac between where the tac crosses HWY 65 and lake vermillion?

Thanks, Matt

I would check for a station near Sand Lake (near Lake Fourteen). Ariel photos show one on the NE side of the lake. Might be Brits Short Stop. I would try to track it down and call before you head up there, to make sure they are still in business.

That ride could very well be more than 100 miles end to end. Depends on how much the trail winds.

Have a good time. bring a tow strap.
