Installing Furnace in crankdown house

I have a crankdown house with a vented furnace mounted half way up the wall. It does not have a fan and the temperture is cold low and hot high. I have a camper forced air heater plan to install in the house and wonder where I should put it. House is square front with the propane tanks on the front. I would like to install the furnace under the front bunk and vent it out the front which would be fairly close to the propane tanks. This would get some heat on the tanks and help them work in very cold weather. 20 lb tanks will quit working well when about 1/3 full when it is really cold. Problem I see would be road spray when travelling in the intake/exhaust venting . Any thoughts on this?

I would put the furnace as low to the floor as possible. The last place I'd put the exhaust vent is on the front side of the house.

I made the mistake of putting the furnace to high on the wheeled house so when it was time to install on the LOW sleeper put it on the floor. Works well without a fan.

IMO, the best furnace for a wheeled house is one that won't require a battery or generator to run. Most forced air furances require electrity to operate. Have one in the camper fish house and when the batts die it will just blow cold air.

I have installed the furnace in my last 2 houses with the vent facing the front. I have never had a problem. I have kept the furnaces close to the floor as earlier mentioned as well. I just think that the air blowing the entire length of the house is the most efficient, and makes the most sense. If you put it on the side you'll have some cold corners for sure... unless you use ducting and face the vents in all directions.
