Who owns one of these and do they do a good job for hardwood floor.

Never use steam on a hardwood floor! Moisture is the enemy of wood flooring. Only a very lightly moistened cloth or mop should be used on the flooring.

My wife is using her new one as we right now!! Not on wood floors but the cabinets. I will check over her work and let ya know.

I believe it uses cold steam and not hot steam and so little that I cannot see that it could hurt our wood floors.

But I do not know for sure and that is why I ask.

Call the manufacturer of the wood flooring and ask if they recommend using it to clean the floor. Don't go by what the steam cleaner people say. I read the recommendations from the steam people, but who do you think will pay for the flooring when the planks start warping and/or splitting from the moisture? I can assure you, it will not be the wood flooring manufacturer's. And have fun going after the steam cleaner company, they will say it was used wrong. I've been out of the flooring business for a few years, I doubt anything has changed since then. I wouldn't use it on cabinets either, I see what happens to our kitchen cabinet near the coffee maker!

That's exactly why I am asking these questions as I do not want any damage from a cleaner.

Call the manufacturer of the wood flooring and ask them. That is the only way you can be 100% sure. Lots of products on the markets say they may be used on other manufacturers products. However, many will only warranty there product-not the other or they will find something you did wrong that will void the warranty.

Used it on our cabinets. Followed with a towel. It works great.
