Got my auger running

My 1 1/2 yearold Strikemaster Lazermag Express that has the last Tecumseh engine & wouldn't run below 30 degrees. I emailed SM & they replied w/ a long distance phone # for me to call. I tried for 3 days, 4-6 times a day. ALWAYS a busy signal unless it was before & after the time clock was punched at SM. So, I went to my local lawnmower sales & repair shop & purchased a carb kit for $7.50. Installed it, now it runs great no matter the temp. I think it's time to sell it while it runs. Those electrics & propanes are looking good these days. How much should I ask for my SM Lazermag Express 8", near new, not a scratch or even dusty, less than 200 holes drilled?

I would start it at $250 but maybe take $200. there is a place now that has factory refurbed ones with the tech motor for $300. this place bought the remaining stock of the techm motor augers from strikemaster when they switched to the solo.

This doesn't sound too odd to me. I don't mean to be presumptious, but there may be some simple things you can do to prepare you auger for the off-season that will prevent this from happening again. I have had simular experiences with small engines, and if I had been using proper fuel (non-oxygenated) and did the proper end of season care, I would have avoided the head-ache.
