DNR license poll

Okay, I have sold a lot of licenses since mid March, I have practically memorized the little questions that must be answered prior to processing a license. My question is; What is the DNR going to do with the poll info? I would say that 95+% of those who answered either shrug or roll their eyes and give a glib answer. Some even ask what the heck is this dump? So since the polling data, to me, seems to be obtained by ambivalent sportsmen, will the data be accurate, and will the DNR use this potentially very fallacious information to make policy?
What do you all think?

Why don't cha email 'em, they have always been really good in answering people quickly, and with mostly good answers, I'll bet they tell you exactly what they do with them

It seems like a good way to collect some data, somewhat accurate data. That 30 seconds of questions is probably the least obstructive way of getting info from everyone who purchases a license, imagine the lines around the openers if people had to fill out a survey when they bought the license. And if it was a mail in survey, what would the return rate be? 5 maybe 6%??
The fish and bird counters out in the field probably help with estimates, but unless you hunt or fish popular spots, you rarely see those guys. No data is perfect, but I'd rather see some decisions based on participant answers vs. some weird equation somebody whipped out their arse.

I was asked if I hunted timberdoodles last fall when getting my license this year. That one was tough to answer, cause I did take a potshot at one while walking the dogs. I'm still confused. LOL

DLB got a turkey last weekend while we were down trout'n and gobbl'n. We were able to talk him into eating the heart, but he wanted nothing to do with dem gisserts!
