I like the fan cooled sled for ice fishing because i don't have to worry about it over heating. Early and late ice you need the snow for cooling a liquid sled. I have an Indy trail and an RMK I use both for ice fishing but I like the trail better for low snow. I like the RMK when there is snow because it will pull a ton. Electric start and reverse is nice for ice fishing as well. Good luck in your search.

In my opinion air cooled is great for ice fishing as you may be on a lake that does not have aolt of snow cover which in turn would not be an issue with the cooling of a sled. As far as the difference, Air cooled are fine for a non agressive rider. I think water cooled sleds have more power and zip but depend on snow cover to cool them. In the end any good running sled would work for both. The Indy Trails have the 488 FC engine I believe which in my mind is a bullet proof engine and you cant beat it, but you may be a little behind on the trails if you are running with friends that have the water cooled machines. Just my $.02!!
