i well sorta inherited my dads old jiffy artic blast and i tell you what, it starts better than any SM that i've seen! even cuts fatser than them, cause by the time those SM guys finally get theirs going i've got all mine done! lol! never even changed a spark plug, just put new blades on it last season.

My dads old ugly stick about 10 yrs old (sounds wierd), he gave it to me when I started ice fishing, still has the shakespeare reel that came with it too, caught alot of eyes with it just this past weekend.

Stuff I inherited from my dad: Metal slush scoops of unknown age (At least 30 years) and a mid 80's Jiffy Model 30.

This year I am mothballing my 20+ year old Mr. Heater Sunflower in favor of a Big Buddy (Keeping the 'flower on the roster as a backup)

The oldest thing in my arsenal is a 40 year old Lowrance Fish Lo-K-Tor (Green box). I never tried it for ice fishing before, but I'm taking it out this year. A modern flasher is hopefully in the works for next season.

Dug my fathers lowrance green box out of the attic last year and I was amazed how well it works. The only drawback is that it does not deal with interference from other units very well so if your friend brings their vexilar along you may be out of luck with ye old green box.

I have a pair of bunny boots (the white ones) that have served me well since 1988.
