Had some phemomenal fruitcake from the Cold Spring Bakery tonight. Rich, yet light and cakey/crumbly with pecan and quality fruit/brandy. Man, good eats. Anyone make their own? Would you like to share your recipe? I prefer to make Pannetone if I am in the fruitcake making mood. It is a sweet Italian bread flavored with vanilla and citrus that incorporates dried fruit, like raisins and apricots and maybe some candied orange peel.
