HEADS UP ON THE MN LIFETIME FISHING LICENSE: If you are planning on getting a lifetime MN fishing license before May 15th and don't live near the St. Paul DNR office you need to get your application mailed in. You cannot purchase one at local license outlets. Applications are available on the DNR HSOforum, but have to be snail-mailed with payment (check or money order) to the St. Paul Office. I sent mine in and they turned it around in three days which I think was pretty good service. Once you get the card, you still have to go to a local license outlet to get your 2004 license. Now all I have to do is keep fishing for 10 years to get my money back.

I dont think the 10 years will be a problem for me! I got mine when I was 15. I better get a lot more than 10 years out of it.

Good Luck fishing and the lifetime license is sure nice. Its like buying a vexilar over again but its guaranteed for life!

I think I got my lifetime license at the Anoka County Courthouse.

Been thinking of getting my 3 yr old boy one. I dont think I will get one for me though. Getting to old to pay itself off...lol.
