Locating walleyes discusion

looking for help on locating walleyes what are things I should be looking for on a map or what should I be looking for when trying to find walleyes in the winter? Any tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated. Im not mew to ice foshing by any mean a just curious to know what other peoples opinions or "rules to go by" are.

I start out looking at where I left them late in the fall. Early and late I go shallow.

How shallow? A good buddy if mine caught two over 28 on typo in 5fow 2 nights before thanksgvng

I fish shallow humps or points that break into deep basins early mornings evenings and fish the deep basins during the day.
