Depth

New to spearing, just wondering what depths you like to spear in? The lake I'm spearing we have our best luck tip up fishin in 5-7 ft of water, seems like thats where the best weeds are. if 5 ft too shallow?

That should work fine. I sat in water as deep as 15 feet last year. I saw alot of fish and speared my share but alot of them came in to deep as well.

I'd say 6-9 fow is my preferred depth. 5 isn't too shallow. Often time I am forced out to 10-14 to get outside of the milfoil.

I like 8-10fow, if I can see bottom I dont get bored. Set my deaks 2 and 3 feet off the bottom and Its how ive had my most luck
