I started looking last week and couldn't find a single one and then today I saw 5 plus a GGO. I even got this one to sit in my hand.

Okay its not my hand but I did get to hold it while it was in a soup can!

The others were so far off in the distance or the lighting was poor so I never took any shots.

The bander is Dave Alexander who also bands raptors in the fall near Hawk Ridge. A very nice guy who is always willing to share his knowledge with anyone who approaches him. Dave banded the two owls on Stone River Rd and that is all so far. He is also banding Northern Shrikes this year as well.
