Area Ice Reports

Anyone knowing the ice conditions on any of the area lakes, please post them here.

I know there were some fishing on the Clam Flowage last week already. Some of the smaller lakes and bays also have safe ice. Any specifics anyone can add would be appreciated. I'm sure with the COLD weather coming in the next few days that ice will be better daily.

Donbo, Yellow River downtown Spooner had 5-5 1/2" of good ice last night. A few other guys were also out. I didn't get here till lasnight but my buddies fished from 230-7 and caught pike sunnies crappies. Plan on exploring other region lakes today and making our way up to Douglas cty for some early ice tipup walleyes. I would be careful still obviously but the ice fishing opener has begun. Now get out and put a soak on a minnow!! L8ter...

Fished Tuversons on Gordon flowage yesterday. 7 inches of ice. Caught lots of Gills. Kept 21 that were 7 1/2 - 9 inches. Threw back lots of little ones. Saw many Northerns and a few Bass caught on tip-ups. Most of the Northerns looked small. Fished 5 ft. of water . Camera helped to keep bait away from the dinks. No Crappies.

Thanks for the reports guys. Did you get ant of this snow up that way? About 5-6' here in the NE metro.
