0 peterson99
Opps, I mean the MARCUM VS825 is $300 cheaper than the 825SD.Right now I am thinking the biggest advantage is being able to switch in between b&w to color.
0 PerchJerker
There's really 3 key differences .....Most obvious is the 825SD has a menu option allowing you to use it as a color camera or as a black/white camera. So you can fine tune to your viewing conditions. The all-color cameras like the 825c will gray out or brown out when the light conditions get too dark.Another key difference is the monitor on the 825SD, it's 3 times brighter than the previous monitors, so it can easily be viewed in daylight conditions, like outside yourshack on the ice, or in your boat on open water. And, the 825SD has an upgraded Sony camera in the water, which captures a better image with less light.Couple other things --- as you mentioned the new 825SD has more on-screen info, including camera direction. And the 825SD comes with a free camera panner, a $50 remote control device that holds and turns your camera for you.Hope that helps. You can check them out at Ice Cameras At Pro Fishing Supply if you want.
