Where to hunt

I'll be home from college next week, and am looking to do some hunting. I dont care if i see ducks or geese or both. Should i set up in a field or pond? And if the fields are tilled, does that mean they wont land in them? Sorry about the stupid questions. I usually only hunt deer, but I'm trying to get into waterfowl hunting.

They will land in tilled fields, however, hiding can be hard depending on the tillage practice. It comes down to whatever you want to hunt and are set up to hunt, whether that be field or water.

I sat in a tilled field and a picked/ un-tilled field this weekend and they were landing in both. We used white bed sheets because of the snow, worked well.

i'd call some buddies ahead of time and see if anybody is scouting or has seen birds around. try to narrow down your search before you even set foot out the door.

well there still a couple divers in buffalo but im on a private pond but if you have a boat id try green mountain or at least head that way most of the geese and ducks r coming from that way or at least thats what ive seen since last weekend? have a good one.
