Now what is your strategy?

Our party hunts on the weekends, and we filled two tags, and have three more to fill (hopefully). Heading back out Saturday morning again.

So, do you hunt the same way you did on opening morning, or change it up. We sit in our best spots opening morning, and then Sunday do some drives.

Hunt the wind, and since the wind hasn't changed since opener and I haven't seen a deer I'm hoping the wind changes so I can get into some different stands.

We hunt a small patch of woods that is a phenonemal funnel. we only change up on sunday morning from about 8:00 to 9:30 when we move to the field edge on the west side. That is the time when one of the adjoining landowners drives a small patch of woods about a 1/2 mile away, he does it every year like clockwork. From that direction it is nothing but cut corn field between the two sets of woods. You can tell when they start, we get a whole herd that comes busting up over the hill. They range in numbers from 6 being the fewest to 13 at the most. Needless to say I look forward to sunday morning!!

That's a great strategy! We hunt state forest land, but lots of people do drives there too.
