People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is investing in ... Hormel Foods? PETA has purchased 150 shares of the Austin, Minn.-based meat company's common stock, almost assuring that Austin is on the itinerary for future demonstrations. "Austin should be ashamed to be called 'Spamtown,' with those stupid banners all over town, because Spam production entails cruelty to animals," said Austin native Bruce Friedrich, a PETA director, in a statement

Big Bro,

Bet ya can't eat just one....MMMMM, me loves me meat.

All the stock purchase does is allow them to attend the shareholders meeting and create a scene. I hope the shareholders get some of that lovely gel that they pack hams in and pour it over the peta idiots. Oh, and don't forget the rabbit raisins...

If God didn't want us to eat animals why did He make them out of meat? - Dennis Leary

The article mentioned carp was a "grouper fish." What is that? Another name for a rough fish?

A female friend of mine told me about a PETA-like woman in her social group. She would loudly proclaim that she was a vegetarian, and it was evil to kill animals for food. My friend finally pointed to her that she had always ordered Pepperoni on her pizza. Her response was,"Of course, because Pepperoni is a vegetable". Not the brightest bulb on the tree.
If a vegetarian eats vegetables, what does a humanitarian eat?

THE TRUE ORIGIN OF "LUTEFISK"
FROM AN IRISH VIEWPOINT.

IT SEEMS THAT MANY CENTURIES AGO, MANY NOR-
WEGIANS WENT TO IRELAND TO ESCAPE THE BITTERNESS OF NORWAY'S WINTERS. IRELAND WAS HAVING A FAMINE AT THE TIME, AND FOOD WAS SCARCE. THE NORWEGIANS WERE EATING ALMOST ALL OF THE FISH CAUGHT IN THE AREA, LEAVING THE IRISH WITH NOTHING BUT POTATOES.
ST. PATRICK, TAKING MATTERS INTO HIS OWN HANDS, LIKE MOST IRISH MEN DO, DECIDED THAT THE NORWEGIANS HAD TO GO. SECRETLY, HE ORGANIZED THE "I.R.A.T.I.O.N." (IRISH REPUBLICAN ARMY TO RID IRELAND OF NORWEGIANS.) IRISH MEMBERS SABOTAGED ALL OF THE ICE HOUSES IN HOPING THAT ALL OF THE FISH IN THE NORWEGIAN WAREHOUSES WOULD SPOIL, FORCING THE NORWEGIANS BACK TO A COLDER CLIMATE WHERE THEIR FISH WOULD KEEP. THE FISH SPOILED ALRIGHT, BUT EVERYONE KNOWS THAT NORWEGIANS THRIVE ON SPOILED FISH.
FACED WITH FAILURE, THE IRISH SNEAKED INTO THE NORWEGIAN FISH STORAGE CAVES IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT AND SPRINKLED THE ROTTING FISH WITH LYE, HOPING TO POISON THE NORWEGIAN INTRUDERS. BUT AS EVERYONE KNOWS, THIS IS HOW LUTEFISK WAS INTRODUCED TO THE NORWEGIANS AND THEY THRIVED ON THE LYE SOAKED, SMELLY FISH.
MATTERS BECAME EVEN WORSE WHEN THE NORWEGIANS TOOK OVER THE POTATO CROPS AND STARTED MAKING LEFSE. POOR ST. PATRICK, AT HIS WIT'S END ON MARCH 17TH, TOLD THE NORWEGIANS TO GO TO HELL. IT WORKED!! ALL OF THE NORWEGIANS LEFT FOR MINNESOTA WHERE THEY ARE STILL THRIVING ON SMELLY FISH AND LEFSE.

Being Norwegian myself, and living in Minnesota......if this is hell-I can't imagine what a beautiful place Heaven is!...
If any of you PETA people are reading this, please give us a clue on your heritage. Were you all raised in a climate controlled biosphere or what? I suppose next, you'll go after our lefse huh?.........T

Ya some of those vegans/vegitarians are not the brightest bulbs in the factory. There is always a conflict in their views.

We had a woman where I worked that was a "vegitarian" but we would catch her sneaking a burger over lunch every once in a while. But it was OK to eat chicken to her.
Free range chicken. Yet in her apartment she had an aquarium of fish that had been taken from their homes so she could have them in her aquarium. And she had cats. Poor cats should be free on the range, just like the chickens, right? Conflicts. Even she domesticated her animals.

Then we had the vegan Goth chick. Wore a leather jacket and boots. Those go together? Now, we can't eat them, but we can benefit from their skinning? And that paste white makeup and black hair dye, no animal testing I hope. Sure helped her complexion-not. Looked healthy-anerexic healthy. Not selling me on the vegan lifestyle.

My point. We all impact our environment. Instead of trying to push or beliefs through outlandish PETA propaganda, a more moderate tact may work. I remember a former co-worker that was a vegitarian. He did not push it on others, just told how it worked well for him. Felt better, healthier. That allows you to make a choice and you don't alienate others.
