In the begining when the talk was going strong, I think it was Jay that asked how long do ya give a site before moving on, an I posted that I never give up on a site, well I really contradicted what I said when i late reported that me an my partner let a couple sites go dry cause of no activty an decresing funds an time. Well that came back to bite in the a$$. The two site that we had activity on actually shut down when the acorns really droped an havent been active since, an the one I took a bear off of hasent been hit since opening day an thats my go to site. Well today I figured I recover the stands from the two sites we let go, An crapo!One site had the bags ripped off an cleaned up an licked to dirt with well worn trails in an out. No telling how long ago. The second site we let go , was cleaned to bone also an five piles of [PoorWordUsage] along the trails an round the site, [PoorWordUsage] seemed to be anywhere from two to fives day or so old. So I Hung a new grease bag an set out bait an hope it still show. So If I ever mention I have let a site go dry , PLEASE HIT ME WITH AS MUCH CHATTER BASHING AS THE FORUM WILL ALLOW! So I again will say "I never let a site go dry" ever again. Oh well, thats hunting, Boar

Tough things is my partner wont be back till wensday from a pheasent trip an I am consumed with my wifes sister inlaw passing away Wensdaynight. So not sure whats gonna happen, but it just shows that if you know theres bear in an area, dont move a site if nothing hapens in the first few weks or even in the fists month realy, cause they will find at this time of there year when they really cruze for food. boar

Sorry to hear about your wife's sister inlaw. I am down to just the 1 bait site right now. The one where I missed the bear shut down for 3 weeks and there were bird hunters all over in there. It will be interesting when I go and get the stand from that though. No new action on your other sites?

Hey, got your email, bummer, thought I'd be air five'n over the net, yep it's an education for sure, I was also thinking, Fri night was so still an dead calm an if your site area is like mine, CRUNCHY CRUNCHY CRUNCH go the leaves, an when it's just you, a bear wont hear you leave, ya might try an get some one to walk with you to drop you off, especially when conditions are so dry an still. I was thinking about that when i was go to my stands friday, it might make all the diference. Not sure if bear prefer to hold up when condition are like like or not. Something to file away in the new folder part of the brain. Yea my sites did 360. Always an learning curve. Good luck later boar

Well the fishing has not been to bad. Did a little fishing on Sunday. I know the neighbor did well last Saturday but they also headed for Bridges and Garden also.
