lilwalter
Have a leaf blower that starts fine, after a short time running the engine will stop as if out of gas. I noticed the primer bulb will fill on start up but will then be empty when the motor stops. Apparently it is not drawing fuel up after start up. Where do I start? yoppdk
I'd open it up and check your fuel lines ... might have a cracked one that is sucking air. Seems those fuel lines get brittle and crack after a few years.
Wildabeast
Besides fuel lines check the gas cap. Is it venting? You might want to try loosening the cap a 1/4 turn and see if that helps
Bigrack
Ditto on the fuel line, I fought with a chainsaw for about a year and quit using it. Finally I decided to find out what the problem was, it was a split fuel line, replaced it, now runs like new. Be sure to replace with a good quality line that is alcohol resistant. Old rubber lines just rot away with the gas these days.
gurkster
Yep - check the fuel line. I had a chainsaw with the same issue. Opened it up and there was a crack in the fuel line. Replaced it and it runs great again.
