Raider4ever
OK. I bought a boat/motor/trailer package 22 years ago in WI. I would like to sell it (upgraded the motor). Problem is I moved about three times since getting it and lost the paperwork. I still get tabs though. It is a 14 foot Lund fiberglass johnboat with a 2000 25hp Merc 4 stroke (it's rated for 25hp). So, what will I need to do in order to sell this boat? Thank you everyone.
Lund79
Bill of sale stating purchase price is all I did when I bought my wife's grandfather's boat ('79 Lund). If you are the buyer and register it in MN, the DMV will ask the price of the trailer so they can tax you on the trailer. Got a lifetime trailer sticker at the same. A lot of smaller boats don't have titles so just do a bill of sale and you will be set.
Rick G
I just sold A boat, motor and trailer and all I had to give the guy was the watercraft registration card and the trailer registration and of course a bill of sale.
tcwin
When I purchased a 14 ft Northwoods this spring, I just took the signed Wisconsin registration card in and registered it in MN. Wasn't asked for bill of sale.
